Our residential crews handle work that typically consists of older homes that are being renovated or demolished as well as disaster clean-up projects. We will be there to help you identify suspect materials, test for asbestos in your home, and then safely remove it so you can get back to living in your home. Our entire team is trained to perform our work in compliance with EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Paint Standard (RRP), which means we help protect you from lead as well as asbestos. And, we communicate with you every step of the way.
Abatement Pro has experience removing nearly every type of asbestos application in the building industry. Some of the more common applications include the following:
- Flooring Products (Tile and Sheet Vinyl)
- Various Types of Panels (siding, countertops, etc.)
- Roofing Materials (tars, felts, shingles, etc.)
- Pipe Insulation
- Drywall Joint Compound and/or Textures
- Mastics, Sealants, and Caulking
EPA Lead-Safe Renovator
Whenever renovation or repair work that disturbs painted surfaces is being performed in a pre-1978 home the EPA’s RRP Rule (Renovation, Repair, and Paint) requires that the contractor performing the work be an “Lead-Safe Certified Firm.” Abatement Pro has been certified by Region 10 EPA to perform RRP work. In addition to regular training of our supervisors and workers, we let each homeowner/tenant know what work we are performing and inform them of the work practices followed to control and cleanup any potential lead-based paint debris. Abatement Pro does not perform RRP inspections, but we can help connect you with a certified firm that does.
